The Original Idea
After 5 or 6 prototypes, we put our leaning idea on Kickstarter and got $100,000 in pre-orders. We were even invited onto Shark Tank!
As a software developer, I spent 10-12 hours a day sitting in my fancy $1,000 "ergonomic" chair.
But one day - after years of this - my body hit its limit. I just couldn't sit anymore. Not one more minute!
I tried lots of different standing desks, but standing is surprisingly painful. And my constant weight-shifting and fidgeting - to deal with the pain - made it hard to concentrate. So I thought, "If I can't sit - and I can't stand - now what?"
As an experiment, I tried LEANING... and loved it! I found that it combines the best parts of sitting AND standing.
Five years and over 100 prototypes later, the "leaning workstation" has finally been perfected.
